Course Objectives The aim of this course is to teach students information about elderly psychiatric and neurological problems.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to know the basic concepts and approaches about geriatric neurology
  • Will be able to identify care needs for neurological diseases and to apply them
  • will be able to explain basic concepts and approaches about geriatric psychiatry
  • Will be have knowledge about psychiatric and neurological diseases.
Course Description Classification of psychiatric disorders according to DSM-IV criteria, personality disorders, neuroses, psychoses, organic mental disorders, depression in the elderly, psychotic disorders in elderly, anxiety disorders in elderly, Alzheimer-dementia, neurological changes associated with aging.Cerebrovascular diseases.Parkinson's Epilepsy, sleep disorders in the elderly.Multiple sclerosis, muscle diseases.Alzheimer-dementia
